Tiger's Balls

Want proof that touring pro endorsements of equipment mean absolutely nothing? Consider the promotional email Nike Golf sent out for its new version of the Nike One ball, which is Tiger Woods' ball. The email includes a quote from Tiger that starts this way:

"It's a fantastic ball. It's the durability ..."

Durability is the first thing Tiger mentions about the ball. Durability! Because that's something Tiger has to worry about, you know. Second kid on the way - Elin has him on a budget. Has to get the most out of every ball, no more changing balls after each hole.

Yep, that's why there's always a telescoping ball retriever in Tiger's bag. What you don't see when the cameras are on Tiger is that his caddie is poking around in the weeds looking for lost balls to add to the boss' bag.

The quote also includes this gem:

"I have played with it and have had success. I have won with it. It certainly does work."

Ooooo, Tiger Woods has won with the Nike One! I better run out and buy some! And while I'm at it, I'll marry a Swedish nanny, too! Cue Tiger:

"I have married a Swedish nanny and have enjoyed it. I have had sex with her. Marrying a Swedish nanny certainly is a good idea."
