"Big Break: Kaanapali" Starts ... Now Please, Make It Stop!

I figured I'd watch "Big Break: Kaanapali" on the Golf Channel because the babe quotient appears pretty high. Most of the cast members have appeared on Golf Babes at one time or another, after all.

And on that front, I wasn't disappointed with the opening episode last night. Elizabeth Stuart, Kim Welch, Christina Lecuyer, Courtney Erdman, Susan Choi -- yummo!

But a strange thing happened ... I discovered I wanted more from a golf show than just hot babes. I know, I know - I didn't believe it at first either. But as I watched that ridiculous bad "Survivor"-ripoff opening sequence - which had the girls racing around digging things up and reading clues - I started to worry.

And then the "golf" start. I was expecting a lot, because the Golf Channel kept promoting this year as the most talented collection of female competitors in the history of the series.

Well, all I've got to say after watching last night is that previous female contestants on the "Big Break" should feel very insulted. There was some truly awful golf on display, not to mention some terrible sportsmanship on top of it.

As much as I like the babes, the rest of the show was so unrelentingly awful that I might be turned off of "Big Break" forever.
